Royal Occasion was a gift from Perfect Perennials in July, 2016, when I purchased some other daylilies from them. It began blooming on June 28, 2017, and its scapes were loaded with buds. More than a month later, after blooming continuously since then, it is still blooming and still has lots of buds yet to bloom.

Prior to July, 2016, all my daylilies were older cultivars with limited bloom spans. I have never had a daylily that bloomed this long (35 days so far). Is this unusual for newer daylilies? What are some others that bloom this long or longer?

I can't believe there are still such beautiful blooms in August -- thanks for sharing!

ROARING LIONS, Guy Pierce, 2017 - Finally a bloom I didn't destroy! This is very pale due to our 100+ heat, and this is a rebloom from a scape that emerged after I received the plant in June. And I must add that this flower bloomed facing straight up, so I took the pictures looking straight down -- strange...

Love those chartreuse teeth! And I immediately put pollen on it from my toothy seedling that also bloomed today!

DIGITAL DYNAMICS - This is a wonderful pod parent, and this morning I noticed this bloom tucked way in amongst the foliage and snapped a pic.

August...already. We are finally getting warmer weather and the daylilies are opening much better. I have a folder of images from July and am going to continue posting them, the plants are all still blooming Smiling

Big George, a 7" bright gold double. Amazing in a clump...

Fitzasaurus, a tall extra large cascade UF.

Jamaican Me Crazy, opened very well considering it was only 48f out that morning!

Self Determination, a favorite of mine. The clump is huge and needs to be divided this fall. Love clumps when they bloom....just watch how big you let them get!

Share a Little, cute 3" blooms on a fabulous plant.

Empire Queen, a lightly relief sculpted yellow.

Supreme Empire, registered in 1996 this is one of the early relief forms. My first $150 daylily.....

and few Sculpted cristates...

Ghost Dragon, moved this spring and still blooming well. I just love seeing all the variations in the shape of cristation, makes no difference if they are midrib or surface cristate.

Lady's Corsage warming up in the early morning sunlight on a chilly 50 degree morning.

Master of Disguise, a pretty bloom even when not cristate.

Voila Francois is a beauty, but I am not sure it will escape the short-scape syndrome that plagues many Stamile whites. Jamaican Me Crazy was always a bit problematic here, so surprised it is doing well farther north. One never knows how much time to give a plant. Hope that Barbara Mandrell will eventually do well here.

Wow, so many lovelies! I am trying really hard not putting anymore daylilies on wanted list. It is almost next to impossible after going through June and July Blooms Threads.

DND, sent you message.

Char and Charley, hope the weather will be more cooperative this month so that you can get many nice blooms. Looking forward to seeing everyone's blooms as my season is almost over.

@mantisOH, do you grow Great White Dove? THat is one beautiful white with tall scapes that show off the flowers very nicely.

Sir Modred - I think this is the darkest red in my garden.

Snowflake Empress - it is funny how photos don't reflect the size of a bloom well. Snowflake Empress is a very large, almost white flower.

This has been a sad season ... so compressed. There's not much left blooming at the moment but I'm hoping for some rebloom before frost since the plants are starting to push out new foliage now. Still reblooming with a little left at the moment are:

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/0cf3cf
Creme Anglaise - one of mine which started 7/1 and still has a little left

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/f2bc82
Midsummer A Woman's Work - I registered this because it normally bud-builds and reblooms steadily from mid-June until frost ... not this year :-(

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/45bfad
Morning Sky - another of mine that's a rebloomer and bud-builder. I'm not sure what it's doing at the moment, but there is still a little bloom left.

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/911a1d
Margo Reed's Red Hill - always a wonderful splash of color in the late season border

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/636939
Rosy Lights - either has another bloom or two or just finished

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/7402ff
Say Hello to Hans by Herrington - this has nice rebloom scapes getting ready to show me more color within the week

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/bb3f43
Vanilla Stella getting ready to rebloom. I got this to hopefully use with my reblooming diploids. It came as a very small plant last year and I'm hoping one more year in the ground will allow it to show me the full potential it has to rebloom prolifically. I really wanted to put it with Midsummer a Woman's Work but no success getting seeds from that cross so far.

Thumb of 2017-08-02/daylilly99/16f26d
Zen Pavillion by Margo Reed - late blooming with some blooms left at the moment

Those were all dips. Tets later.
