I am not sure how to go about this and am wondering if there is anyone who can tell me how it is done? Thanks

My mind has gotten far ahead of my fingers. I am talking about purchasing flowers.

? In what circumstance are you talking about?

Are you inquiring about how to select appropriate plant species or about where to purchase them? Are these indoor or outdoor plants?

If you want to try perennials some companies like High Country Gardens have filters on their websites that will sort their offerings by everything from planting zones to color, soil types, water needs, etc. Many will guarantee their plants for up to a year from delivery date. They may also offer the opportunity to "chat" if you have questions that are not answered on the website.

Hi Patricia,

The website doesn't sell plants, but we do have an index of nurseries and other gardening-related places here:

https://garden.org/greenpages/

You can search by name or category.
Plant Authorities: Catalogue of Life (Species) --- International Cultivar Registration Authorities (Cultivars) --- RHS Orchid Register --- RHS Lilium Register
My Notes: Orchid Genera HTML PDF Excel --- Lilium Traits HTML PDF --- Lilium Species Crosses HTML PDF Excel --- Lilium Species Diagram
The current profile image is that of Iris 'Volcanic Glow'.

To add to what has already been said, if your wanting to purchase house plants, I would wait for the weather to warm up, I have never had any luck purchasing plants in winter, they never survived from the shock of going from the green house to my car to my dry/heated apartment.

Here is the About Us page that tells what kind of website this is. National Gardening Association or Garden.org is not a nursery for purchasing plants.
