From Floyd Cove Nursery I received 3 from their general listing; 'Broadway Cherry Blast', 'Baby's Got Blue Eyes', and 'Hanne's Electric Orange'.



Also from Floyd Cove, 2 of this year's introductions, 'Whirling White' and 'Radiant Red Eyes'.



I received 2 wonderful bonus plants from Floyd Cove, 'Angel's View', 2017 and 'Red Sparkle Teeth', 2018.

I've never ordered from them, but the roots on those look really nice. I hope you post pictures when they bloom.

Virginia, I hope it's OK that I post my recent arrivals here too -- I posted my first ones in the "what are you ordering" thread, and this one seems so much more appropriate if you don't mind.

I received my wonderful order from Fred Manning (our Spunky1) on Thursday after I returned from the beach, and the plants are beauties! Here is a quick pic I snapped just before I started planting yesterday.



I won 13 plants from him through the Lily Auction: ALL REVVED UP, PURPLE SUNBIRD, KYLE'S SMILE, SUBURBAN CAREY ROBERTS, BUDDY'S CUTIE, LILLIAN'S EYE DID IT, SPLASH DANCE, BLUE MARBLE, LITTLE RED GENIE, TRANSITIONS, LILLIAN'S IVORY TOWER, RACING TIME and OCULAR DELIGHT.

Most of them were triples, a couple of doubles, and at least one (LILLIAN'S EYE DID IT) was a quad. And as a gift they included a 7-fan clump of the one I named in their naming contest last year, LILLIAN'S HOT AND SPICY.

Thank you VERY MUCH Fred and Kathleen -- and I simply cannot wait to see them in bloom!

I also received my order from Patrick Guidry, but I didn't think to take any pictures as I'd just returned from the beach and rushed to get them planted on Thursday -- but they are great plants also, mostly Liz Salter smalls and minis from the last couple of years: BACKSTREET MELODY, CHAOS CHOREOGRAPHY, LAVENDER ZIPLINE, MAHOGANY CAVALCADE, ONCE IN A WILD MOON, SHADINGS OF THE MOON, RETURN TO CAMELOT, CITY OF ECHOES, SHADOW RITES and UNTOLD STORIES. And as gift plants he included COTTAGE LIFE and KALEIDOSCOPE THUNDERSTORM. Mr. Guidry always sends really nice plants too.

Can't wait to get mine from @Spunky1 although with our weather and zone it will be later as opposed to earlier. Awesome looking fans all!!!

I have a small greenhouse and selected April 1st as my delivery date.

I am expecting an order from Floyd Cove also. You guys are getting me anxious
and I can't wait! For now I am potting seedlings so I won't think about it so much.

I did ship one out to a lady the other day. Just a freebie that she was looking for.

I can't plant mine until after May 6 but boy will I be busy then.

I did just what you are doing for a few years, but not this year! Wouldn't it
be nice if it was as easy planting them as it is to click that button?

The ones I get from Floyd Cove always have the scapes cut off when I get
them, but they rebloom in May and sometimes again in July the first year.
After the first year I don't have a lot of rebloom, but it sure is nice having
that pollen. I can't wait to get Cool Composure. Only a few more days!!!

Ginny, you need to get a small greenhouse! It sure does bump up the fun factor.
Can't tell you how nice it is to get an early start. I pot up the new ones and give
them extra care before planting them in the garden in September. At least that
is the excuse I use for keeping them right outside my door- and I'm sticking to it!

We have the room for a greenhouse. Maybe someday

Dixie Blues just arrived, looking very battered poor thing. Has been soaking for a few hours so just waiting for OH to stop work and bring some compost(potting soil) in from the car for me. Going to pot her up and keep her in the cellar under the grow light for a few days as we are expecting more snow this weekend. Looks like she needs a bit of TLC.

I am glad she arrived and is receiving some TCL. Please keep us posted on her progress.

Last week I received a beautiful order from Karol Emmerich at Springwood Gardens, but unfortunately I was busy trying to get everything done and didn't manage to get a picture. I received five plants: FINAL CONFLICT and SWORD OF JUSTICE (both 2018 intros), ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN, and UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER -- and her bonus plant of SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL was the reason I decided to place an order, as she was giving that incredible patterned daylily that I've been admiring as one of her gift plants and I really really wanted it -- and I'm so glad that I placed this order!

Her plants are incredible, all really huge double or triple fans with the largest root systems I think I've ever seen. I had to plant two of them in larger 3-gal pots, and UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER had two separate monster fans (one already splitting), and those went into two 2-gal pots. I also had ordered a sixth plant, SECRET OF CONTENTMENT, which is growing in the ground in Minnesota and she's going to mail it to me separately in May at her own expense.

This was my first order with Karol and Springwood Gardens, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking around for plants.

So glad that spring weather is finally here. THough spring started a month ago, wintry weather continued to persist and not much planting or bed prepping could be done. THe first of my daylily orders arrived Thursday and today. First from LA Daylpp, a huge double fan of Dancing Flamingo. Today my Floyd Cove order arrives rather late with 2 wonderful bonus: Sea Change, Pharoah's Arrows, Swirling Shadows, Amethyst Prism, and bonus of Grape Umbrella and Seminole Stitchery.

Local Dallas community garden Unity Community Gardens is in need of help getting started on Eco-friendly and self sustainable gardening.
