Oh boy, oh boy. Another contest,. Y'all get your broms on! There are a lot of holidays between now and Jan. 1.

I'm assuming it doesn't have to be a holiday that one actually celebrates. Correct? (Of course I try to celebrate them all.)

My favorite joke from my Grandpa. Good holiday fun one.I have never typed this before......might be kind of long.
A guy goes into a pet shop and tells the shop owner what kind of pet he is looking for. He really wants an animal he can communicate with. The pet shop owner laughed and said he had a talking parrot. The hopeful new pet owner then replied that a parrot is perfect! The owner shakes his head and explains it was a joke and that this parrot has lived on a navy ship and picked up some undesired language. The man was certain that this was the pet for him and brought the parrot home. All was well. The man truly loved his new friend until the parrot said some really bad words. So he stuck him in the freezer for five seconds.
Guy: You know what you did?
Parrot: Yes
Guy: Got any questions?
Parrot: No
The new friendship blossoms and all is well until the bird begans using fowl language once again. He puts him in the freezer for ten seconds.
Guy: You know what you did?
Parrot: Yes
Guy: Got any questions?
Parrot: No
Two minutes go by and the parrot says things that should never be said and the man is very upset with the parrot. He puts the parrot in the freezer for a whole three minutes and takes him back out.
Guy: You know what you did?
Parrot: Yes
Guy: Got any questions?
Parrot: Yes! What did the turkey do?

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! That is a good grandpa joke.

Scott, your turkey is really clever and looks good on the driftwood.

Thanks all! I am glad you enjoyed the Pineapple Turkey. I can not take all the credit. I got the idea in my head after seeing Pineapple Turkeys with sewn felt type heads. With a little help from my friend Tonya. I carved the head from a piece of floral foam and she hot glued dried grasses to the floral foam and trimmed and added eyes and stuff then attached with toothpicks into the pineapple. You will see it again in a comic Brom scene.
Tonya is the one that made the Brom wreath for me last Christmas and is working on another as we speak. Smiling

I was at the grocery the other night. Not many people there so it would have been a good time to snap some holiday pictures. I saw some gorgeous broms and when I tried to move one it turned out that there'd be at least 3 large ones per pot. Almost knocked over a whole display.

And then there was a little stuffed animal that had to be a reindeer. But it was plaid. I mean really — a plaid raindeer? Did nothing for the broms.

Quoth the plaid reindeer, "I'm going to keep an eye on Scott. He's got a wicked sense of humor. We may have to rein him in. No time to stop and smell the flowers."
