Wow, beautiful creations Scot and Sherri!
I have a few grapevine wreaths left over from a project six or seven years ago; at least I think they are still around somewhere and once we get settled from our move back to Sebastian, I might have to make a Brom wreath ... I made a few in 2012 or 2013 using spanish moss and tillandsia plants. It was when I volunteered at a local Botanical Garden and we held an event each year called "Spring in the Gardens" where all sorts of vendors set up tables to sell their wares and people came to walk around, watch tutorials and purchase gifts and plants. There is no entry fee to visit the garden and no paid employees, it's completely run by volunteers. Local businesses and residents donate prizes for the raffles and all proceeds from the tickets sales go back to the garden for needed tools and equipment. I decided to make and donate a few wreaths one year so I bought a couple dozen grapevine wreaths online and made about 6 for the event. I covered them with Spanish Moss, added a few Tillandsia plants and a burlap bow. I made one with seashells, coral, starfish and tillandsia plants and that seemed to be the most popular one of all ... seems like a lot of people like to decorate with a seashore theme! People didn't have to be present to claim their prize; if they'd given a contact number on the ticket stub, we called and let them know what prizes were still remaining and they could come by and pick them up but usually, at the appointed time of the drawing, many people congregated at the raffle tables waiting for numbers to be called. The wreaths were very popular and went fast.
