Hello,

I have 3 jade plants one was labeled ET fingers,it has been one of the easiest plants i've grown.My dog actually ate almost half of it last summer and now you can't even tell.

My question is i have bought a jade plant and i have a pot that i have 2 plants in that were cuttings given to me.I didn't see the parent plant.When it rooted and started growing it grew straight up without any limbs forming.I was told to try pinching the tips.I done this twice and it is now growing limbs making the plant bend over,it's almost hanging over it's pot.Are these 2 jades different varieties and if so what are their names?What do i do about the plant that's bent over? I currently have them staked up.I do turn them so they aren't growing towards the sun.They are turned every other day.

The first one is called a Gollum jade.
The second one is likely a regular jade plant, Crassula Ovata
The third one due to the colors could be Hummel's Sunset. If you haven't noticed yet, if jade's get a whole bunch of sun, they start turning red at the tips, but Hummel's Sunset gets a lot redder. If they are getting the same amount of sun, it might be Hummel's Sunset.

The one that has fallen over probably is having some root issues, but if you leave it staked up, it should be fine after a while. Maybe cut the tip off it again. It will make it weigh less and it will make it grow bushier, both are good ways to keep it growing straight.

Lovely crassulas you have there! As Irrelephant suggested check the roots, my jade plants do not bend over unless I have just transplanted them, then I put a stake on them till the roots recharge to anchor themselves or grow new roots.
First one is Crassula ovata 'Gollum' ; 2nd one is Crassula argentea or these days they also use Crassula ovata..
Oh that is a nice name for the third one! Hummel's Sunset.

The jade plant has lovely blooms!! I hope you get to see them bloom! My jade plant bloomed in Feb2011, funny thing though only on one branch

They all get the same amount of sun,direct sun.Is that going to be to much sun when the Georgia summer hits? I thought since they've been in direct sun for months now & getting use to it slowly they would be ok.I will keep a close eye on them,the color has just recently started turning red on the under side of the leaves.

I haven't repotted them.The one that's tipped over started doing that when 2 new babies popped out of the stem at 2 leaves.I thought that may be the cause.I will top them again and keep them staked up until they are strong enough to hold themselves up.
When topping the one that's falling over how much should i take off?
