Thanks Cindi, too far for me to drive but I 'Like' them on Facebook so they can share their pictures and studies with me.

Love that butterfly bush the color really stands out. Wish they were hardy in zone 4 I have planted quite a few over the years and after a couple of years they are gone. The scent of the blooms reminds me of when my mother made homemade jelly.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

I guess in zone 4 you would have to treat them like an annual, so good prices are a must. nodding
I got mine from Mammajacks for 7.25.
I also got a 'Asian Moon' from Santa Rosa, it has light purple flowers. for 8.99
http://www.santarosagardens.co...
Also from Mamajacks 'Peach Cobbler' same price. Also Tutti Frutti, these are Dwarf Buddleia.

How do you like the Tutti Frutti, these can go into a container, also Blue Chip. If you get the dwarfs you can bring them into the house or garage for the winter. I think they would last longer that way and you could get extra years of enjoyment from them, maybe they will smell like jam. Green Grin!

I got this Campanula sarastro in Bluestone's half price sale. I really like the purple color of the blooms. My photo doesn't do it justice! I'm amazed it was blooming when I opened the box today! That Clematis 'Rosemoor' beside it is the second one I've purchased from them. It's the only Clematis I've liked enough to buy two of. LOL. :hurray:

Do any of you have this Campanula sarastro in your garden? I was wondering if anyone in a warm zone like mine could tell me how much sun it can tolerate here.

I had it in Z5a.It didnt last long but that might be for reasons other than temp. I find Bluestone zone recommendations are a bit off.
I just got my 50% off order and Echies I wanted are BO'd until August. Disapointing as I wanted blooms for this season.

OH, NO! Bluestone did that? I just ordered from their 50% off sale and they did not mention that they were out of anything. Most people, especially in your zone like to plant the in Spring, so the plant can get strong before winter.
I had ordered some from a co-op last year and did not get them till October, all died except one. If you do decide to get them just don't let them bloom and they should get strong enough, blooming takes a lot out of the plant, uses up energy they need to prepare their self for winter.
I still can't believe they did that! Sad I ordered 3 shrubs and 3 plants, one was a Echie!
