Glen, just watch the cats that they don't eat them when they start to grow, because if they get a chance they will. Hilarious!

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Another reason to not have a cat. nodding

I finally added some water and peroxide to some seeds I have from 2 or 3 years ago. Don't know if they will germinate or not, but no hurt trying.

Good luck with those Natalie, I think a lot of them will probably germinate if you kept them in the fridge. nodding

They have been in the fridge the entire time, and still look like they did when I put them in there, so I'm hoping that they will grow!

Once you put the seeds in peroxide water, why put it back in the refrigerator?

They need light and warmth to germinate.

I've always germinated mine in the fridge with no problem. So, they really don't need light or warmth, because I've had 100% success rate. Of course, none of them until now were 2 to 3 years old, but I will be very surprised if some of them don't germinate.

Good luck Glen and Natalie on those seeds.
Gerry you could do it either way on those seeds. I have put them back in moist paper towel for a couple weeks and then take them out. A lot will germinate in the fridge. You could plant direct in the ground or in pots. It's all a matter of choice and available time.
Some will put them on the counter and let the rest germinate there and then plant. Some even leave them in the peroxide water to germinate there. I know that "Runningfox" on the LA does hers this way. She told me so. Ha Ha !!!

Since my first year of hybridizing daylilies, I've never germinated them any other way than in the fridge. The first year, I stored them in the fridge, and then planted them in small pots to germinate, under lights. Had okay success, but not close to 100%. Since then, I've kept all of them in the fridge until they have sprouted, and I've have perfect success. Don't want to mess with perfect!
