Bluestone Perennials has 50% off right now and they have a good selection. I just got a few shrubs that I have been really wanting. I also got a Pica Bella for 4.47. Green Grin!

My mom has only Arizona Sun and they come true for her from seeds. I think it depends on if you have several different kinds.

Let us know what he says about your hand. Crying Not the best time to have a sore hand. Never a good time but this is planting time.
I bought some Gaillardia when I was in Pullam, WSU visiting my son( mom's weekend). They are Bicolor, Arizona Apricot and, Mesa Yellow. I bought a flat of perennials for 10.50. Hurray!
My son graduated this spring so will not get to go next year. The university is 6 hours from my house, a bit far to go to a plant sale. Rolling on the floor laughing

I saw the hand surgeon today. it's mostly soft tissue damage- tendons and ligaments. there's one hairline fracture in one hand bone, but wrist bones are OK.

I'm in a plaster splint for a while. i see the doc again june 4. but I can't do anything with my left hand.

thanks all for your concern.

Hurray! Hurray! Glad to here you are mending.
As for a mini vacation Pullman is not really a hot spot, just miles and miles of wheat fields and a giant university. It's five miles or so from the idaho state line and Idaho state university.
Anyone over winter Lemons and oranges?

Here's another reason I like these. Even the seed heads look attractive. After the petals drop, this Yellow Gaillardia looks like some sort of yellow Allium.
