I've purchased a number of orchids from Dave Johnston, of Jewell Orchids http://www.jewellorchids.com. He sells the orchids you see on his web site. He's also a "Top Seller" on ebay. Good quality, vigorous plants. If you want something larger or spiking and can pay a little more, it's worth a phone call or email.

I've also bought for him and it was a very good experience.

A new experience, for me, is with Marble Branch Farms http://www.marblebranchfarms.c.... Gary Collier and Mark Reinke are very active in the Atlanta Orchid Society. They moved to S.C. and the country a few years ago and are establishing their greenhouse. Their specialty is hybridizing miniature Catts. They've got some nice species too. They are so enthusiastic and eager to please. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better.

I really enjoy going to Silva Orchids. They have lots of healthy Orchids to pick from. These people grow their own Orchids, they don't import. And nothing is potted up in Sphagnum!

Orchids Limited. I love these sellers and have bought many great orchids from them. Although their prices are higher than ebay, this is a class operation and I have often been amazed at what arrives from them. Great well established plants. After reading about Dendrobiums, I think they might be the ones I'll like the best. Anything that blooms in the winter makes me so happy.

Lots of orchids bloom in winter. Check the database.

Has anybody dealt with Parkside Orchids? They were the only place I could find that had Clowesia Jumbo Grace listed. I don't take Martha Stewart's advice when it's going to cost me money.
