Nancy, I like that one. I'm usually not super big on bitone or mixed colors, but that one I do like. If you have extra at the end of season and I'm ready for more, I could cover postage. Thats if it's ok with you.

Dirt - Oh yippie! Thank you for the future box. I like surprises! I'll take just about anything if it will bloom for me. Rolling my eyes.

Monty ~ Guess what? Midnight bloomed today. Maybe even yesterday, but if it did, I didn't notice it. I'll post a picture of it later, and put it in the database. The first picture, I took in full sun, and it did not come out very good. Later on, I took another, and it was looking a bit better.

Midnight did not bloom the first year for me, and this is the second year. Also I moved it from a large pot to in the ground. Cat's Eye still isn't blooming yet, though it bloomed several times the first year, so it will probably bloom later.

Oh gosh, Dirt. I love these Lovey dubby and didn't look them up before sending my check off to Superstition the other day. D'Oh! I did order Painted Doll though. I'm glad to be getting some historics into the garden. I'll have to call and see if they still have them to add on to my order. Thank you everyone who helped me get in touch with Superstition. Thank You!

Evelyn - As you have seen, my Midnight did die because of rot from all the rains....but it seems that Cat's Eye, which also bloomed for me today, ate up all that rain, produced a ton of increases and FIVE bloomstalks.

That is quite remarkable for a maiden bloom. Hurray!

Too bad TBs don't usually do that...

Many of the pictures you can find at: http://www.bluebirdhavenirisga...

Just click on the letter at the top, and it will open that page. If you are on your computer, the pictures will open in a new window. You can leave them open to compare, or save the ones you like, or close them.

Hey Monty,
I wanted to get back to you on my best historics this year. My favorite was
Blue Shimmer with large 7" blooms, blooming for a couple of weeks.

Then there was Paper Doll.

And a nice dark purple called Sable.

Here is Mme. Chereau nice but with smaller thinner blooms.
Thumb of 2019-08-20/Ivan_N_Tx/dc31ef

Mary Geddes probably had more blooms than any.
Thumb of 2019-08-20/Ivan_N_Tx/890828

Ola Kala was a great yellow.

Here is Christabel, a nice orange/red.
Thumb of 2019-08-20/Ivan_N_Tx/dec0dd

And Red Polish, a good solid red.
Thumb of 2019-08-20/Ivan_N_Tx/b92744

Unfortunately, none turned out to be like the ones I used to grow, but some are even better so it all evens out. nodding Thumbs up

I like 'Blue Shimmer' a lot too..

'Rheingauperle' gets very high marks in my garden for it's exuberant bloom.

That is a nice one, Sherry. It looks like it has larger blooms than most, too. But what a name. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Sticking tongue out

Actually, the flowers are on the smaller side.. I was looking for a picture that illustrates that..
It's to the left of the plicata in this picture. This is the best I could do..
