Tons of buds this morning but not one open yet. I will have a carpet of them under the trees on the lot.

This bromeliad. Anyone know what it might be? Not my best growing surviving brome, but it's doing some better. This is the 2nd bloom this year. The first showed up in February and has finished and dried up. It needs to grow some pups or I may be down to only two plants. The first photo was a couple of days ago. I didn't realize Lum was photobombing me. I'm so used to him being there I didn't even notice him. Just part of landscape.

This was this morning with direct sun on it and a couple of buds have opened.

Here is another Lantana amongst the Larkspur with a more pastel coloring. I don't think they are quite as hardy as the others...only one out four survived recent ice storms.

Not impressive specimens, but gonna give them recognition for blooming so late and for their color...behold my lowly snapdragons:

Can trust the snapdragons to hang in there, they are native here to Texas, I love them. Had a few daylilys blooming, but the rains have been hard on the yard.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

I love snapdragons, I just forget to photograph mine. Heartleaf skullcap is beginning, and daylilies are stars of the front yard. Wildflowers in east bed

I don't remember what this is, but I think it's a sun lover. This is in partial shade so won't bloom as nicely as others I've seen in the neighborhood.

Some fencerow blooms on the stroll to the mailbox. Paintbrush was blooming close, but not close enough to nab in the same photo.
