I'm old school and use a computer to post (transfer pictures from phone to computer via bluetooth). Not the easiest route, but just feel more comfortable/confident in that approach.

Nice roses, are they fragrant? Only had success with Knockouts, but without the fragrance, I wasn't that interested (but also was too lazy to deal with fungal issues of other varieties). Maybe now that I'm retired, I'll give fragrant varieties another try.

I use a wire to move pics to computer but i only upload a couple times a week. Those roses are so short i don't know if they are fragrant. $5 walgreens mothers day roses i bought myself about 10 years ago. My fragrant queen elizabeth is heirloom, my climbing reds aren't a fancy scent but i think they do have scent. I don't do knockouts. Only these 3. A virus has infected many roses in fort worth, safer to grow diverse flowers. Now i can save this post, and edit, and add a pic without issue. Its when i put pic up the first time that ads block the upload. Saw my first elderberry blooms a few minutes ago.

Knockout roses are subject to getting Rose Rosette disease and it has been getting worse and more prevalent among them with every year that passes. It's too bad. They are resistant to a lot of diseases, but not that one. When they were first introduced they were thought to be an essentially disease resistant variety of rose, but I think now in central Texas and probably other locations they might not be a good choice any longer. I know it became a big problem in the DFW area.

You're probably getting tired of seeing my Larkspur, but it's going to seed now, so this will be the last picture of the year ( Thank You! for your patience).

My Althea bloomed nicely this year, but it was at its peak when my USB port was dead and I couldn't upload anything. Here's one of the current blooms:

My four 18" post of Stella d'Oro daylilies (at least that's what they were labeled & sold to me as at Walmart). They're just getting started and are in morning sun setting:

@Peggy8b
If the color I'm seeing in your photo of Stella is accurate, then I suspect it's not the original which is more gold. Maybe 'Stella Supreme d'Oro'? Since Stella d'Oro was introduced, there have been a number of similar - mostly direct descendants - introduced. A few have 'eye' patterns, a couple are more orange, some more yellow, some with a bit larger blooms and some with smaller blooms. The original had characteristics that made it such a reliable landscape plant and bloomed so freely, there have been a lot attempts to duplicate those traits with variations in color and, to some extent, size. Many have been pretty successful though I'm not sure any have actually exceeded the original in terms of reliable performance. But a lot have masqueraded using the name commercially, both deliberately and innocently. It's a nice splash of color whether it's an imposter or not!

Thanks for the info, Donald. I'm OK with it. Like you say, it's pretty whether the original strain or not. I do wish, however, they would give the 'descendants' another name, like Stella d'Oro 2, Stella d'Oro 3 or something that would distinguish them from the original strain.

Those that are officially registered HAVE to have a variant in the name. So instead of 'Stella d'Oro', the one I suggested was 'Stella Supreme'. There is also a 'Ruby Stella', 'Blackeyed Stella' and I think others. There are also descendants with completely different names, but with similar growth and bloom habits. The problem is that doesn't prevent a mass producer from providing a retail store a similar daylily and simply using the name. Happens all the time and not only with daylilies. Anytime you purchase retail plants from Wal-Mart, Breck's and other mass suppliers, there's unfortunatly a good possibility of buying something with an incorrect name. When it's obvious - like buying a pink iris and having it bloom purple - then it's easy to know it's incorrect. But buying a purple plicata iris and having the purchased item bloom as a purple plicata still doesn't mean you have a correctly identified iris. Sadly, it happens all the time.

Oriental lilies that looked dead in the front bed and got tossed in my dirt mixing bucket. They came back to life. They used to be more orange but are now in shade does that cause color change?

In my opinion, it can cause a color change because of different nutrients, not sure if daylilies have grafted parents, or throwback seeds tho. I am tired, I will go see if my brain will upload fully.

A daylily seedling that lives in the stock trough year round. I like it but wish it had more branching or would rebloom. Nonetheless it gives a show for a couple of weeks every year.

A Bromeliad that badly needs dumping out and repotting. Only three bloom spikes this year and I think that's probably because the container is packed tight right now. I noticed one winding around on the edge of the container because there's no room left in the container.

I love the day lilies in the stock trough.
I had neglected assorted day lilies thinking I would get them planted. I finally set them up in a wading pool, no drainage and they have been blooming well this spring. Hurray!

First time I have had this Epiphyllum offer blooms. Most of the buds are dropping - because of rain I suspect. It was sold as a yellow epi. Danged if they weren't right!

Wow! Yours is earlier. Mine was slow coming back this spring. I was relieved to see green growth as I was afraid I had lost it. Blooms will be later here.

I don't pay much attention to it, but my dog does. He loves to eat the fruit. He will wade in and pluck the fruit when it's orange/red. He's a real survivalist Hilarious!
