Actually it may not be an Amami Island because it was sold to me as a generic Neofinetia falcata. I don't think the sellers knew for sure and it could be a hybrid. But whatever it is, it's one husky neo!! Big Grin

Dendrobium moniliforme Yokozuna is opening a couple of blooms. The little plant has a hard time getting established and for now it is putting some roots into Epiweb. But the blooms are pretty and there is some promising new growth.

Me too! But I hope the whole plant will do better.
I have a large, plain Den moniliforme which is growing very well mounted, so I gave this one also a try mounting it on Epiweb. We shall see....

Wonderful plants, Ursula, and great growing. Kathy, thanks for letting me know about this forum. I will post a proper intro in the intro section a bit later. I was not able to upload any photos here because they all came out partially cut off and very blurry. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Oh well...

I had posted the plant in bloom on June 8. see above. ( a posted link didn't want to show the picture)
and it put on some fresh growth after that. So here is the same plant showing off unexpectedly with one pretty bloom in November and looking "refreshed" Smiling .

Thanks. I find that this one grows just a tiny bit easier for me than some of the other Den mons. It came from Orchids Limited btw.... Whistling

I think it is pretty in itself, the yellow shade and pink pedicels are perhaps a bit delicate.
