Wonderful, thanks everyone. I think I'll cover my bases, throw a little potting mix into the Cym pots and give them a dose of Osmocote to carry them through summer.

I might supplement them with a shot of soluble orchid fert, if it looks like the new growth is hungry.

Earthworms/pot = Huh?? This whole orchid growing thing is pretty complicated and convoluted. So many different ways to go with care, watering and fert.

I measure almost everything in Earthworm units. I mean with the dollar falling and the problems in Europe, it's the most stable thing around. Hilarious!

I just got a call from "The Fern Garden Club". They will be here in about an hour to tour my garden. I don't even have time to mow and we just got more than 14 inches of rain. Have mercy.

Well, they just left. It turned out to be just two ladies who are the program planners. They took the full tour and now want to bring the entire club (50 plus) in November. I opt not to think about that right now. Blinking

Pretty soon, you can start charging admission, and support your orchid habit, Jim.

That's what you get for keeping your garden such a wonderful showplace.

Looking at my cute little Bl Tiny Kiss here. It is doing well this year and it is opening slowly 4 spikes.

And my nice clump of Encyclia tampensis. The cage smells really pretty in the general direction of those blooms. I just took it inside for some pictures.
