OMG, they are phenomenal photos, Ursula. And I want so many! That close up of the sarcoglottis sceptrodes (which I repotted my baby one out of it's sphagnum yesterday)!! And so many more.

Boojum, while I was in NYC last week, I wandered off to the NY Botanical Garden Orchid Show. Of course I had the wrong camera with no backup battery, so I only took a few shots, and not good ones to boot. Sorry. But thought I should share. Patti

I went to Piping Rock on Sunday. I took cash so I would stay within my budget. Then I remembered the gas money in the car. And the $20 emergency stash in my wallet. Soon, I was checking for change behind the seats. Glenn says he's my pusher. I can never be alone with the man again. 20 minutes from my house.... I'm doomed

Laugh while you can Kathy. I think Western Mass is within an easy drive of Piping Rock. He had some very nice orchids for $1500.

I see him at every local sale and always get something from him.

But to go to the greenhouse and see thousands of orchids...all calling your name.

Oh, I would like to see the loot list! Must have been fun!

I can see it now, first the weekly yard sales..selling off your furniture then later ..dumpster diving for things to sell
all to support the hideous addiction.
Then attending meetings that begin with something like "Hi my name is Diane and I'm orchidholic"

I started writing down some of the names on the back of an envelope..and had to move up to
a full sheet of paper!

Wonderful tour Ursula! I went to a show in San Diego on Sat. and saw many of the same plants, but only a few of my pics. came out. I did good though...only 3 mounted plants from Andy's followed me home. Nageliella (Hartwegia) purpurea
