Thanks! Good thing I don't have Ursula's room or I would be buying more! I have to stick with the ones that can make it outside, or buy a house to hold them all. That would be tough on my retirement. Hilarious!

Last weekend I went to the Tampa Orchid Society's show and sale. Here is a quick look around:

I lied but you'll thank me for it. This plant was just beautiful. I promise this is the last one for now.

I'll take a shot at it: Schombocattleya. Is there a prize?

Ursula, I posted my loot back over on the April thread at Dave's Garden. I'd be most interested in your opinion.

Jim, what can I say.
Here is my little dilemma - I have been happily and extensively posting here on the Cubits Orchid forum; and after not reading and participating on any of the latest threads on DG, I do feel now a bit "off" posting there.
I just took a look, it is a nice group of plants you bought there! I love the L. purpurata!
Perhaps one could correct some of the tags, if you feel so inclined.

Laelia purpurata var. striata
Laelia purpurata var. werkhauseri 'Monte' X C. gaskelliana var. coerulea ( I looked this one up at the RHS, but I am not sure if I found the correct one....)

Thanks, Ursula. I'm a bit torn as well. Laurel , Fred and Todd are posting over there and I'm kind of in the middle. I hate breaking up that old gang of ours.

Jim, I do agree about not wanting to break up our group. Some of us are double-posting at times.
What I really like about this forum here - everyone is posting responses more quickly and there is a really good exchange of ideas, information. Thumbs up

This wasn't really a SHOW, but thought you'd get a kick out of this experience.
Last weekend, DH took me to an Orchid Auction held in the Greenhouse at Reynolda in Winston.
Well, there was one large fellow who was hacking up a storm in there, no let up. I just couldn't sit there, so we left after a half hour, empty-handed. Things were going for a song. Some large items, like Phaius. We just had to get away from the germ sprayer. So inconsiderate with a room full of people.
We had nice breakfast at Whole Foods, though. LOL Hilarious!
