My Ghetto was huge!! I was almost hoping something would die so I would not have to plant it.

Oh well, I have some sad news about my pot ghetto.
For several months I have been trying to locate the owner of a piece of property in order to obtain permission to dig up some saplings.
Unfortunately yesterday I located them - three generations of woman.
I explained my reasoning (to save some weedy trees) and asked permission; they looked at each other as if they thought I was insane; and all three said, "Yes".

My pot ghetto has 32 new pots this morning.
I need to find a home for 32 ornamental, shade producing, slightly messy, somewhat invasive in certain areas small trees.
Perhaps I am insane.

I didn't know I was supposed to get rid of my pot ghetto. instead I turned it into my pot garden. After all I live in Washington state
. I am hoping it will hide my potting mess.

Well, this is a new concept for sure! Pots that hide the Ghetto, are those vines that are going to grow over the ghetto? Is that Vine Ghetto?
I do not actually try to hide my Ghetto, I think Ghetto Pride is acceptable for certain groups of people, like the crazy ones!!!

Susan, My vine ghetto are scarlet runner beans (that will definitely cover everything) and sugar snaps. The more planted pots the better.

Now I need to start the seedlings for the winter garden.

Cleared all the last batch of ghetto pots out by going to a plant swap. I love plant swaps....as long as I don't come home with more than I left with

My Picnic Ghetto is alive and well, I watered and fertilized them since I have no idea when they are leaving.

Susan what are you going to do with all those pot of Daylillies? They multiply so fast keeping them in a pot would be less work.

As you see I love my Ghetto but when the time is right I will find some nice ground space in the sun. This is a shady area so they do not dry out so fast, but they also do not bloom very good. Thats ok! I have a bigger Ghetto on the other side, it is called the 'High Rise Ghetto'!

When you put up supports on your garage roof you can have a Penthouse Ghetto!

Susan, I love your split-level Picnic Ghetto.

I wish you had a narrow elevated platform along the top of that table, and a few pots sitting on the ground below the seats. Then you'd have a quadruple-decker sandwich!

I consolidated ghettos this evening. Potted some of the stuff up in bigger pots. Trimmed back some stuff. Watered it all good. I even swept! Tomorrow I will fertilize. Three day weekend with mild temps should allow for most to get planted.

My pot ghetto is no more.
No pots lined up at the back door.
No sickly plants suffering today.
No sitting them back up when winds blow their way.

Did you plant them or send them to compost or the dump???
