hlutzow.. they all look very nice, happy and beautiful. Very nice collection. Looks like your having fun and keeping busy. Some look like tomatoes in the back white buckets, can't tell what the others are . I think that jade beauty on the front porch is a Crassula ovata . And quite a nice collection of succulents .

I have put together just one ornamental container. It has dipliadenia, Persian shield, verbena, African blue basil, million bells, coleus and sedum.

Thank you!

I wish that was tomatoes, though. My tomatoes and Swiss chard didn't make it due to the heat here and I had a pair of Okinawa spinach that were just exploding in growth that I had to give up in the last move. Also, raccoons apparently love collard greens and cabbage. There was nothing left for us humans after a couple nights.

The leafy plant in the big white planter towards the back is Radermachera 'Kunming' or Dwarf Jasmine Tree. I don't know why it's called a jasmine since it's not even remotely related, but it has these beautiful white blooms that I didn't even think of photographing before they faded. Oh well, maybe next year.

hlutzow... a very interesting group of plants you have selected. I had to look up the dwarf jasmine tree/ Radermachera 'Kunming', Dwarf Tree Jasmine, Peep Thong. They have the most gorgeous trumpet shaped white fragrant blooms according to the article. Others describe the scent as... resembles roses, juicy fruit, candies, fine cologne all together and can be smelled from many yards away. Grows to 4' to 6' . Ideal for large containers. Many descriptions for the fragrant flowers describe them as intoxicatingly fragrant. Lovey dubby Now I'm hooked and found one on line. It's tropical and a bit tricky in my neck of the woods. Do you over winter yours outside or in the house? When do they bloom and how long?

This was a informative find.. Just shows, ya never know what your gonna run into when discussing plants on this forum. Rolling on the floor laughing

@bumplbea The scent is very nice. Juicy fruit is definitely in there. I had to smell them whenever I passed by. I got the plant in early January, so I haven't overwintered it yet. I got it for the beautiful foliage and gnarled looking trunk. I was at a local nursery and there were two of these sitting off to the side. I couldn't leave without one. Then I found out about the blooms. They were a big surprise when they showed up around a month later. The best kind of surprise. They might have last about a week. I didn't track it. I regret that now. All in all, I am very happy with it. Hurray!

As far as care is concerned, I'm currently living in South Florida. I keep it outside in bright indirect light, not one ray of direct sun touches it. I learned that the hard way when it lost a whole swath of leaves after just a week of getting hit with some direct morning sun. The sun here is intense. Direct sun in other areas might not be so bad. *shrug*

I'm stoked you found one for yourself. Green Grin!

here are a couple of pics....anything has the potential to be a container, crocks,(if I can find cracked ones at yard sales the crack provides drainage, and put that crack to the back) wooden boxes, maple tapping cans, anything galvanized(tubs, pails, kettles) or rusty, and of course a geranium would not look great unless it is in an old terra cotta pot
