I love seeing the bunnies in my yard Lovey dubby The other day however I was terrified....one was munching grass in the dog run when Dixie "let herself out" (she can open the sliding glass door Blinking ) Dix took the close to the house/fence trail and Bunny was in the middle of the run. I went out and QUIETLY chased it back through the fence. Thankfully, Dixie was none the wiser Hurray! Hurray! Love watching the bunnies, but wish they would stay out of the run!!

There have always been bunnies in this yard. This year, there has been an absolute explosion. Instead of seeing one bunnie at twlight, we see dozens through the day. The neighbor girl has gone to college and took the cat with her. Amazing the difference one lone cat can make.

We spot rabbits on our C. R. and on other properties down where our getaway cabin is, but have only seen one mature rabbit on our own property so far. I live in fear my husband will be mowing on the riding mower one day and not see a nest of babies out there.

I love to watch their courting routine. They face off, then leapfrog over each other.
Maybe it takes a long time to grow, but remember that if nobody plants it, nobody has it.

LOVE!!! I don't mind rabbits in my yard. They are so excited to see our tiny patch of grass that they leave the veggies and flowers alone! Rolling on the floor laughing The grass has tiny rabbit pellets surrounding it - it's like they get to the edge and feast!

I adore rabbits. Unfortunately, they don't stay around very long because my dogs will go after them (I have beagles). I've had unfortunate fatalities with the babies. Beagles are exceptionally skilled at sniffing out their nests. I do not encourage my dogs to chase away rabbits, but being that they're beagles it's encoded in their DNA to do so.
