What a great afternoon here. The clouds rolled in early this afternoon and we ended up with .35 of rain and lots of thunder and lightening.

Wow! I'm so happy for you all! You hit the jackpot big time! I sure didn't know it was in the forecast for Tucson. Groovy!

Well Susie, it kind of caught the weather guys off guard. They said yesterday it might rain near by or in the mounains but nothing like this was predicted. The thunder went on for a very long time. I do not remember a storm like this in June. They said a little while ago that a dust storm was headed your way and probably no rain.

Yes, we did have some wind and that dark yellow sky. Hopefully it will happen again! ... and bring rain!

Rain for Linda! Wonderful for you! I miss those long rainy days. Honestly, I was born here in Phoenix and summers used to bring rains and even flash floods. We would get in our inner tubes and float on our streets.

Linda got rain!! Did you go outside and play in the puddles??

Becky I also remember a time when I was a teen that the storms came regularly in the afternoons not hit and miss as they do now.

After a beastly hot and humid day we got a bit of rain this afternoon. It only amounted to .05 but it cooled us down to the upper 80's.

They say a Haboob that started from our storms is headed to Phoenix right now. It is supposed to be between Casas Grande and Phoenix. Hang on !

Linda, I'm very happy to hear that you had a little rain in Tucson. Sorry about those that may be affected by the Haboob!!

Glad you received some cooling rain, Linda! Every little bit helps one way or the other. I'm in North Central Phx... I can see big, white clouds to the southeast.... maybe we'll get something! Even a Haboob would be fine with me. Nice to have a "break" in the weather!

During the bleak winter months Linda, you will still be fretting about freezing plants and freezing pipes, while I am sitting pretty cozy looking out at the beauty of the fresh fallen snow, dazzling and sparkling in the morning sun.

I needed that break Susie. We have an evap cooler so you know how we suffer when the heat and humidity hit. Hope you get the rain and not the dust. It is still overcast here.
