Linda, I'm glad you got rain!

Maybe if you have any left over, you can send some up our way. We're finally seeing monsoon clouds, but no rain yet.

No Becky we did not get the dust, it started more west of us. We just got the heat and humidity and only enough sprinkles to mess up the clean car. Temp topped out at 107 . Thumbs down

Big rains hit Tucson around 5:00 tonight. Thumbs up We had just started the 19 mile trip across town to our evening church service when we hit sheets of rain. About a 1/3 of the way there we ran into a traffic light out at a major intersection with a white wall of rain beyond there. We sadly turned around and came home knowing if our small wash came up we would not get home. The dry area we had just driven thru was now being swept by the same waves of rain. Incredibly intense but thank the Lord we made it home safely. Smiling We ended up with .70 of rain !!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Most of the storms lately have missed us so this was great ! Big Grin

Hurray!

It's been cloudy and rainy here for most of the last week. The official rainfall measurement at the airport reports 2.89" inches for the month, but my unofficial measuring device, a straight-walled drinking glass, suggests something closer to 6" has fallen where I live. Right now the sun is shining and as extremely welcome as the rain has been, I'm happy for a day that's not starting with dark clouds.

Hi Steve !

6 inches of rain is really impressive ! We have had many days lately that have been starting out cloudy as well. Last I checked it was only 88F here but the humidity was 44 %. We just had a clap of thunder so am hoping for more rain though a lot of damage was done yesterday in Tucson. Lots of trees and power lines down. Sad

I think my (Scot) DNA requires dark days. I love cloud cover. A little rain fell on my part of the planet over the last 3 days. Grateful for that!

Hurray! We received .70 of rain yesterday in a very violent storm that took down a Palo Verde tree in two of our across the street neighbors yards. I just had a bunch of pots taken down. Sad Today the storm once again came in from the west and we received .30 without the violent winds. The plants and gardener are very happy !! Thumbs up
