I know.
"Playing possum".

I have known so many men in my time who thought it was funny to joke about killing animals in front of animal lovers.... just to get a reaction.

I don't know Robert and I was afraid he was one of those.
I'm relieved he isn't!

Smiling

Sorry this got off topic... Possums may play dead... sometimes... but in reality they hiss like a cat would and show those sharp teeth more than they play dead.
No I'm not one to kill animals. Here is my story on that. When I was about 12 years old I went with some local farmers on a deer hunt. It is what a lot guys do in Eastern NC. I was all excited not really knowing what was really about to happen. We were hiding by a large stream in the bushes when this huge Buck came across the stream in ankle deep water. He was magnificent with 12 point antlers and a strut to his walk and he high stepped in the splashing water a sight that still is in my mind. He came right up on us and then stopped, motionless as if a picture about 6-7 feet away. Someone fired from where I'm not sure and hit him in the neck... he let out a scream, just like a man would, it curls my toes to this day...... and I cried. What a waste. I knew then hunting was not for me and I had a new found respect for wild animals. So no I didn't kill it.
