Our slipper princess is at it again. Beautiful, Bree.

Rhynchovola David Sander is at it again. Here is the first of what I hope to be many summer blooms.

Beautiful, Jim. That little Psychopsis is just a bloomin machine, isn't it. David Sander is truly a winner.

My David Sander looks very healthy and has made several big new leaves, but is not making a move to bloom. D'you think it needs more light? It's getting morning sun inside the pool cage.

Mine is hanging on the side of a bottle palm and probably gets about the same amount of sun as yours does. Any chance you can hang yours and give it a bit more air?

I thought we would have huge thunderstorms this afternoon, but they fizzled out for my town. I even ran outside to take a couple of picture of the Neostylis Fuchs Ocean Spray before it was supposed to hit.

I know where your thunder storms went, Ursula. They came through here. I woke up at 5:00 this morning to pouring rain and when I left the house at 9:00 it was still raining. I went to a plant swap and pot luck at the Extension Service and when I got home around 2:00 PM, it was still raining. My yard is flooded and I will post some pics over in the show us your garden thread.

I love the two tone purple on the Neostylis Fuchs Ocean Spray. It's a very pretty orchid. The little Bulbo is nice as well. Fragrance? The tiger stripe neo has an interesting bloom,; very fance and delicate looking bloom.

I have a NOID cattleya opening today. I do wish I had a name for her.

Jim

Lovely flowers, Ursula. And the little Neo is just exquisite.

That's a good idea, Jim. I sure can hang David up, and let the breezes blow. Thanks

Kathy, the blooms are about average for a Catt.

I'm thankful for the OC as all of this rain would have put my orchids in a world of fungus.

I did let everybody (incl. me) have the day off today, orchids did not get misted as they were all still nice and damp. I took all the other potted plants out of the pool cage and powerwashed the patio, so that provided a nice mist yesterday. But we're back to the water/fert routine for us all tomorrow. All the mounted brassavolas seem to be loving the rain, though. They get a great breeze in the afternoons, up there on the oak branch, to keep from getting too soggy.

Update once again on my little Howearas, finally got the light right to show the pretty markings on the lips. I have 6 stems in bloom now.

I don't think so, Bree. The petals on mine are really green and the shape of the flower is different. Thanks for trying.

We just came back from a ride to Oberlin, Ohio, picking up a special motor for our son. As we were chatting and getting a bit of a tour of the place yesterday, the lady of the house came home from work. It turns out she works in a huge greenhouse/ Phalaenopsis nursery nearby.

I almost died when she told me they are the "Just add Ice Orchids". Can you imagine my surprise? Well, I revised my opinion of the place - it employs ca. 1000 local people and it is not somewhere in China. That should account for something, right?
I am still stunned!
