I always love the red color when these ones first open. They almost go a bit blueish for a while afterwards too.

Kind of looks like the big Anthurium my mother recently purchased to grow in her shop. I forget the name of it. I'm so jealous though.

I think its a 'Big Red Bird'. I have one but its not that dar. The leaves get darker and darker with high light. They can be grown in pretty much full sun and will not develop the coloration without it

My Anthurium splendidum in its cloche has given me a new leaf!!!! SO excited.





And my Anthurium cutucuense in the mist tank has pretty recently given me 3 new leaves, each bigger than the last. The newest looks like it will be tri-lobed. The last one was bi-lobed

I have 2 Queens....a big big light one and a brand new dark one that is just getting its 2nd leaf.

Did some leaf cleaning out in the garden, amazed some of my Aglaonemas didn't freeze back this winter, we had some pretty cold nights this year.

Pink Dalmatian left side, has two new leaves but looks like it did lose a couple too.


These are under a huge oak and so they get protected from frost, I also let the leaves pile up around them for added protection.

Those are beauties! I have one that I got from a friend years and years ago, I'll have to take a photo of it...she said she got it at Selby Gardens (I think if I remember right( at one of the member sales and it was called either Fruit Salad or Fruit Cocktail. But I can;t find any info about a cultivar called either of those names online. SO she must have been mistaken, and now I am not sure what its name is

New leaves are also coming in on my Anthurium faustinomirandae. It actually has two new ones. I only took pictures of the one though.
