Well, it's been a way-too-long of a winter for us here in the Colorado Rockies. Technically, I'm on the edge of the Mountain Shadow over the eastern plains, but I'm closer to the mountains than to the plains. Winter started for us in October (rather early this winter) and hasn't let up.

Until now.

Finally.

I went home and was surveying the front yard, depressed, like always as it's just so..dead looking. And, so I went to check one of my roses and, lo & behold, a hint of a leaf! Is it? Is it Is it Is it?

IT IS!!

The bigger leaf got damaged by the cold snow storm we had on Sunday, but, you can see there's just a breath of a hint of a 2nd leaf! So, prudence tells me to cover it back up and just be patient.

Not my strong point. Big Grin

Here's the leaf. It's on my Paradise Found

Here's a shot of the teeny front yard from the back forward. Yes, I know there's a planter pot in the middle of the yard (I picked it up after I took the shot) and a lot of the weedfabric is showing (mulch got blown away). So I do have some other repairs to make. There's about 50 dormant roses in this shot. The house next to mine w/the for sale sign just went up for sale today and that's my brand new mini van in the driveway. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Toni, good photos. Now we just need to see the same shot once the roses start blooming!
