Mine were small things. And the plants were very small too. I've ordered from them before, years ago and it was better. I've decided not to give them future business. When they mailed this last batch they gave me no warning. I had no idea there were coming. They got here one day before we went out of town for the weekend. One more day they would have cooked in the mailbox. It was still 90's in October

Escargot and similar types are being sold here with the premium annuals and tender perennials most years now. They are about $15 these days.

Just noticed in your plant data base that you have a beautiful selection of Escargo Rex Begonias. Lovey dubby
Do you bring them in to over winter? Or take cutting's ?

Hey bumplbea! I don't think I have a picture of Escargo in the database, but I did post other rexes. There is one from the Philadelphia Flower show that is similar, Begonia longiciliata?

Anyway, Escargo and rexes with that leaf texture are short lived here, indoors and out. Sad

I do take the whole plant indoors. Most types with fleshier leaves do OK for most of the winter but then start dying back before spring, only to get kicked out of the house and recover again. But I don't have the shade anymore to support their summer recoveries

I tried to grow a variegated Yucca many years ago, it died on me...I think I should have planted it in more sun and out of irrigation.

I got the Phaius at the Farmer's Market. Its a named variety, I forget the name. But its the only one I have seen that isn't white/pastel. The bright yellow and red sure puts a pop of color in the green foliage! It does seem confused though. I have other Phaius and they never bloom til Spring

Does seem a strange time of year to be blooming. There are some new hybrids out there, I wonder if the bloom time is also new????

Pretty tri-colored foliage on these variegated bougainvillea - seen at a local nursery in Grand Cayman last week. Several colors of flower bracts with the variegated foliage, including white, peach/orange and this vivid fuschia.

I like bougainvillea as long as it is in someone else's garden. There was a variegated bush in a corner of our back yard when. we bought this house over 30 years ago as tall as the fence. It froze back every winter to the ground, came back each spring, but had to cut back the dead growth, bloody job.

Gina, Last year my orchids bloomed at unusual times. My Phals bloomed twice. That is a really nice find for you.

This is not leafy but this Variegated Graptopetalum succulent is my favorite. I got this in 2021 in one of those clearance pots and had propagated from leaf and cuttings.

That's really pretty Gigi, like the colors. Succulents are like bromeliads, the cooler weather makes them color up nicely.

I had to leave these Jose Buono philos outside to brave the elements. When I cut back my huge 2 philos in the greenhouse it generated way too many cuttings. I put 3 back on but all these extras are outside. I've grown JB outside before. It will survive at least 25F without protection.

Yeah we have been having a discussion about that on one of the Facebook pages. You'd be surprised how many people believe that they will not survive temps below 60F
