One of my NOID's looks very similar but it doesn't have as nice a caudex. I took some pics this morning in a break from the rain.



This plant also has a long double seed pod. I probably won't save the seeds but it's interesting to watch it develop.

No caudex but what a seed pod!!! Do you plant your seeds??

I would plant the seeds someplace in the yard. Nice, colorful flowers you have there!

My problem Melissa is that I'm really short of full sun spots in my garden. I live in a city and don't have that much space in the garden anyway, especially since I have a pool and a large pond out there too. Most of my full sun is on one of the roofs where I have another pond and lots of pots. I may try and sprout some of them in a garden box on the roof, how can I resist?

Thats great Melissa thanks...but as you say very few seeds bloom doubles and can not count on bloom true at all

My great fun is to anticipate a bud opening for the first time.

The rain has slowed my blooms but I am still getting a few.Here is the little Oleifolium blooming again.The edges are burned by the rain and humidity.

This one is Bohemianum.

And finally,Somalense var.Crispum.The leaves and caudex look right on this one but the bloom isn't quite right.
The color is right but bloom shape should be more twisted.It may improve as it gets older or it might just be a Crispum cross.

Nice to see all the different species.
I think there are a lot of crosses out there.
