I tip my hat to you.

I don't believe this is a mimosa, as the leaves look off.

I agree, I can't see the flowers closely but it reminds me a bit of Oleanders (Nerium oleander)

That's what I was thinking too.

Without a close up shot of the blooms, hard to have a firm ID but definitely not a mimosa.

The leaves and blooms are not a match for Albizia julibrissin and the closest I could come up with was Nerium oleander but that may not be a match either. Shrug!

Hopefully @tx_flower_child will be able to return to the Trader Joe's in Dallas and get some closer photos of the leaves, flowers and bark.

Well, if I could take another picture, or more likely a better picture, I'd be happy to do so. It's unlikely that there would be any blooms on it right now. I generally know mimosas when I see them but y'all are the experts.

This particular Trader Joe's is not in my neighborhood. Rather it's a few doors down from where I get my hair cut. Not all that far as the crows fly, but not in my general area.

Let me think on it. I might have an alternate suggestion but don't want to toss it out now as I just put in eyedrops. Is there a 'holding place' of sorts that the picture can be moved to? Or would you rather just move or remove it? That would be fine with me. We don't need any inaccuracies in the database.

Ok. Think y'all are right that it's not mimosa. What about a Chilopsis linearis aka Desert Willow?
Flowers look about right but not sure about the leaves.
