@Joolie - those are beautiful!

@maxx2 - Eva Purple Ball is an older heirloom. One site says the name is because back when it was named, 'purple' referenced pink.You'll see most sites refer to it as a pink tomato.

@DraDiana & @wildflowers & @maxx2 - will put those in your baggies.

I made up another two packets of sinningia seeds and finally got my cape sundew (best. indoor. plant. ever.) in there (and I have more left over if there's more interest) and some sweet peppers. I've got a few more things I think I can squeeze in since I ran into a little stash I'd not yet properly put away in the bins. Hilarious!

I ran across them while digging up my ninja seeds and thought I'd put that out there.

These sound like lovely fun!

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm the one who nabbed the sinninja already, I remember reading it was a good houseplant so I put it on my list.

Oops, thought I had plenty of the Salvia coccinea listed but see it went to zero so I put a few more packets up, will fill more packs tonight and increase the number again.

Anyone who wants it should easily get some before the end of this swap.

That goes for any of the "hefty seed producers" like the Hollyhocks, Rudbeckias and Scabiosas. Those of you who've been doing this awhile know you can't make the time to pack 20 of everything you have ahead of time (you might end up with a lot of wasted time and packets to boot). And, if you gather every seed, you end up with a garage full of bags and seed heads (been there, done that). So, I do collect less these days. But I am happy to fill more packets if folks want to grow something I've listed and I have that seed.

I'm hyping someone else's seeds right now: @MrsBinWY's sweet peppers Jimmy Nardello and miniature red bell.

I grew Jimmy Nardello peppers this year and they are like PEPPER CANDY. My husband said they had a taste that kind of reminded him of apple. It's prolific and the peppers look neat and are easy to unzip the seeds from (slice down one side and slide your finger down and ZIP! deseeded!). I put them in the fridge and just kept sneaking them as sweet snacks. They didn't last long! But I have several of the plants indoors right now in a hydroponic setup so I'll be getting more all year long!

I think I'll keep Jimmy Nardello peppers growing in the house all the time now actually.

Another pepper that's in my house all the time now is the miniature red bell. The plant itself makes a tidy round bush that isn't all that big and it gets completely covered in sweet smelling blooms that produce TINY TINY TINY bell peppers.

I usually use a knife to get the stem out and cut along a line in the fruit enough to open it and scoop out the seeds, then if I could manage to keep them this long I would in theory stuff them but in reality they are bite size and one of my parrots WILL fight me for them. I've used them in soup before too, just tore em in half, scooped the seeds, tore off the stem and plopped the fruit in, done and done with no knives required. Good on days my hands aren't knife-trustworthy!

I added some yellow ones of mine to the trade to complement @MrsBinWY's red ones!

Edit: Adding photo of parrot who won the fight for that pepper and he is VERY HAPPY about it:

Also added: lettuce leaf basil, which, if you're not familiar with it, pull up a chair, I'll sing its praises. But this post isn't to hype my seeds. Hilarious!

Another not-my-seeds hype: @luvsgrtdanes and @ishareflowers are offering firecracker vine. I grew some this year and it knocked my socks off! Check it out:

I completely agree!! They make fantastic sweet paprika, too!

Yep - Jimmy and Il Corno di Toro are the two horn shaped sweet peppers I grow every year. Love them. Never tried those mini's (oohh, back to wishlisting stuff!)

I definitely agree. If anyone particularly wants a seed packet or two that I listed let me know. I'm filling packets for my next swap AND expecting a large happy seed order in 2 days! Thank You!

Last year in the swap I got some seeds from chiltern labeled as viscaria oculata. I see now that it has changed to silene coeli-rosa. I was looking for a new annual and found this and the pictures were so cute, but I tell you the pictures didn't do this plant ANY justice. I was determined in the beginning to get better photos but....I didnt. Its got cute airy flowers about the size of a quarter in all shades of purple pink white and some bluish. Even some of the purples had a bluish sheen to them. It was pretty cold hardy in the spring and bloomed all summer. I grew them in between poppys with some sweet peas going through. I'm not good with my linking skills to show off others photos, but look it up if you are looking for something different or cute! Totally perfect for scattering, interviewing, or taking up some space between. They were really cute for filler for cutting, and I plan to try them out for pressing this year as well. I have like 8pounds of seed from them, look up these little gems and grab a pack if you're interested!
