But for Baja's banner in July, The thread "Banner for July 12, 2019 by Baja_Costero" in Site Banners forum
I may have never known about these wonderful little cacti that bloom so beautifully.

They were planted bare-root the first week in August in an 18" pot.
I will have to give them more room eventually, but they are a happy little group for now.

Here they are one month later. =O

Thanks, Leon! I'll post a pic (or two) in the DB. It's really an amazing plant.....looks like it belongs in the desert, but
actually from Peruvian highlands, so likes richer soil, and more water.

Very easy to grow, they like rich well draining soil with some sand in the mix. They are cool low mountain cactus so the origonal species that they were crossed with came from lower regions of mountains ranges in Peru. NOT A MOJAVE DESERT CACTUS.

Here are pics I just took to show how they are already "pupping", and may even put out a bloom yet.
