I have seed crosses from both Master And Bold Ruler and Purple Goliath. I will run with that for now šŸƒ. Steve's picture of PG was tempting to say the least.

UncleWill Heavenly Gardens is owned by the renown hybridizer Jamie Gossard in Ohio. Many here purchased plants from him.

I've bought from Jamie twice (waiting on this year's order). The last order had a couple of small clumps instead of DF's and he generously gave me two of his current year intros as gift/substitutions, even though my order wasn't very big/expensive. Super excited for this year's order!

Two new members are looking for their namesake daylilies. If you have any leads or info, please let them know by tree-mail (posting here for them as the site can be a bit confusing to navigate for those who are new):

Hi everyone,

My name is Shane McKinney and I am trying to locate the daylily named after me by my grandfather James F McKinney who died in 1979. I still remember the hemerocallis society meetings that he would host at his house in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. I'm writing to see if someone may have a clump of the plant? It would be a wonderful to have a plant as a constant reminder of my grandparents and childhood. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Shane McKinney

I discovered the database entry for Palantir while reading about its parent, Moonlight Orchid. I found pics on Pinterest (link below). I want this one!

Does anyone grow Palantir?

Sadly, Palantir is a European cultivar. I guess I'll never have it. Which is fine, given my current heading for over 320 by mid-June.

Carmen Renee is gorgeous!

Identifying daylilies is done mostly by consensus. Many are like trying to identify the difference between twins.

Hi, I'm looking for either a specific daylily and/or the parents. The specific daylily I'm looking for was registered by my husband's grandmother back in 1972 before she passed from lung cancer. My husband never got to meet her as he was born in 1987. The name is "Mixed Emotions" (we don't even have a picture of it). I understand that due to its age that it may be very difficult to find which is why my alternative is to find the parents (Exalted Ruler and May Hall).

ANY information or help you can provide would be much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Jessica Chantry-Miller

Jessica, where did your relative live? I would check any local daylily clubs to see if they can help you. It's possible that she gave some to a member/friend. If you're lucky she was a member of a club in her area.

Good Luck, I hope you can find it.
