I have read this with interest as well as all of your beautifully illustrated articles, Neil, but slow in posting. It hasn't been since 1988 that I was in England. How time flies!
Love that Agastache, Debra. It's one of my favorites. How neat that it is still blooming!
Dear all, i cannot do any photos at the moment as it is too cold for that. I did see some winter jasmine out in flower, but even that was frozen when i saw it! I do hope you are all well? Soon be spring here in England and the snowdrops and daffodils will be out with many other joyous plants!
Keep warm and safe.
Love to all.
Neil.
Snowdrops usually appear in late Jan. even under snow. I wonder if we will get some more this winter. A wee bit early on but rain. John had put pineneedles on our irises this fall. I wonder how many of the dozen reticulata 'Katharine Hodgkin' will show up. Nticing lichen on our brick front porch. I think that I will remove it. Plenty of rocks for it to colonize.
It will be gone by 11:00, but any moisture at this point is most welcome.

From Saturday:
Agastache 'Firebird' and Turk's Cap
I love this Clematis. Profusely blooming in Spring, fries dried and brown in Summer, and bounces back (albeit more lightly) to bloom every December for the last five years.
Dear Debra, astonishing picture! We have an amber flood warning alert, so there is nothing here but water and lots of it. Cold overcast and miserable.
However it is nearly Christmas and the spring will soon be here. Daffodils in February to look forward to.
Happy Christmas to all.
Nothing new blooming right now (although the Gerberas, Chrysanthemums, and Agastaches are trooping along). Do have lots of foliage
Clematis Florida sieboldii doing its level best to ensnare the Rose of Sharon tree next to it.
Clematis Rooguchi
Green Santolina and Thai Basil
Provence Lavender and "Passion" Tall Dianthus
Bromeliad (I think) given to me last Christmas in a potted arrangement. Survived two hard freezes now with flying colors--and lots of mulch. And this tiny dill sprig that survived the horrible dry summer and my benign neglect.
"Circus" Heuchera. Was given this Fall. Will have to see how it does through next summer. And a Caryopteris "Sunshine Blue" that came from dropped seed off the mama plant.
Two kinds of oregano. The purple one turned that color during a freeze.
"Dark Towers" Penstemon and one flower: "Cheerleader" Football Mum
