I have more peonies in this category than the purple one! So here it goes!

Favorite NOID Itoh from MB. Supposedly Lollipop but it turns out to be a gorgeous peach double NOID.

Sonoma Apricot Would love to see others pics of this peony. For some reason, I did not get a good season for this one.

Ladies, you have very nice apricot peonies! Lovey dubby Mine were more pink than apricot last summer. I am guessing due to cold previous summer or just cool Alaskan summers in general Shrug! Even Julia Rose does not get yellow tones in the end of blooming. So I am posting peonies which are supposed to be apricot Big Grin

My favorite is Pastelegance.

My Blonde Vision has failed to bloom for the past two years. If it doesn't bloom this Spring it is getting moved!

Misaka Itoh has dark buds that open and fade.

This is probably my favorite color of peonies! I love the warm glow of this color in peonies.

Liz, love Prosperity Maud! I hope that this peony will do well for you in AL. Can't wait to see it established in your new garden. I have seen such great photos of it and I bet that it will be spectacular in a clump. Is it a tall or short peony?

Anya, so interesting to hear that the apricot and peach colored peonies appear more pink in your location. I am glad that at least Pastelegance blooms are more peachy in your zone. I think Pastelegance is going to look so gorgeous in your zone. The cooler weather is going to prolong the blooming and mitigate the fading of the blooms. Would love to see that in a clump someday. What do you think of Sonoma Apricot? I am a bit underwhelmed by it.

Wow, LG! What a stunning collection of peonies in this category! That Singin in the Rain, the Mikasa bud, and Blonde Vision are just magical! I have never seen SitR's color that intense and deep. Love the Mikasa bud color before it becomes peachy. That's just gorgeous! I am glad you posted your Blonde Vision bloom. It reminds me why I bought it in the first place. I am still waiting for a bloom from it after 2 years of planting. I don't know what happened but all of the buds on my BV aborted. This is one finicky peony!

This is a fun thread, Karen.

Last year BV got flooded and no buds opened.

The year before last BV was in a freeze. It forms buds very early, and the weather seems to really bother this one.

That SITR is in afternoon shade so that may help preserve the color.

Thanks to all who are contributing !!

I love them all but probably Pastelegance is my favorite.

Karen, I bought Sonoma Apricot at Adelman's sale and cannot say it is something very special. It is of the same age as Momotaro which is highly appreciated by peony specialists people, both are young and unimpressive. I hope intersectional hybrids are getting better with age.

Blond Vision was advertised on Hollingsworth's site as very frost intolerant when I purchased mine. I've tried to cover mine every time we've had crazy cold weather after it emerges but it just has never increased or bloomed well. I've had enough blooms on it though that I fully intend to keep it and make sure it has an optimal spot—when it blooms its gorgeous. I moved mine 3 years ago to a spot where it'd emerge later, hoping that would help, but of course that new spot was part of the mass move to AL this year. The root did break into 2 pieces when I dug it so I have it in AL and in one of the front beds here in CO now, sure hope one at least survives.
Karen, Prosperity Maud is relatively tall and a good grower, really like it. The springs since I got it have been really hard; was completely devastated by the hail storm 2 years ago and last year's end of May blizzard had it laying on the ground for a while before it recovered, still put out pretty blooms.

Frank, gorgeous peonies! What is to the right of 'Peach Cobbler' on the first picture? Very good support for 'Souvenir de Maxime Cornu', its flower is not facing the ground. Beautiful flower!

@frankrichards16 Frank, i am so glad that you posted your Kinkaku! It is as gorgeous as all the pics that you posted of it before. Love to see it again. The bloom full of petals is a sight to behold. You did a great job propping it up. I have not heard of Peach Cobbler. It is certainly peachy! Is a new peony in your garden?

I got Peach Cobbler from Bannister when they retired in 2015. It is an unregistered Itoh... so yes it is a new peony in my garden.

The peony on the right is one of my favorites... May Lilac. The foliage is quite unusual as well.

Well it sure puts on a show - and it looks as though it is very full plant.

Lupines are not difficult to grow here, but I have to watch for self-seeding as I do not want too many of them. They re-bloom after cutting their old flower stems as well, which is a big bonus in my opinion. They could be a little bit upset in hot weather without rain, but I do not water them unless they start to show new flower stems in the middle of summer and the is no precipitation..

Well, it hit 70° F (21.11°C) here today, so I moved Blond Vision. It was sunny with blue sky.

As I suspected, there were a lot of tree roots in it. I was able to keep the soil around the rootball and plant it in its new hole that I had already dug. It was out of the ground for around 5 minutes total. I soaked it really well to settle the new dirt.
I did not clean all the tree roots out of the rootball, as I thought they would just shrivel and die.
It had at least 6 eyes! I'm really hoping it will bloom this Spring.

What a fun Christmas Eve. Hurray!
