Lupines are not difficult to grow here, but I have to watch for self-seeding as I do not want too many of them. They re-bloom after cutting their old flower stems as well, which is a big bonus in my opinion. They could be a little bit upset in hot weather without rain, but I do not water them unless they start to show new flower stems in the middle of summer and the is no precipitation..
