In my opinion that's just the same as an expert saying a drug addict using drugs reduces their stress level. If it's a harmful practice to them or someone else, then reducing your stress level by doing that harm isn't a good way to work it out, there are always better ways. The psychology is right, the justification isn't.

I have absolutely zero personal worries even if it comes to every business in the country shutting down for 3+ months, including grocery stores. But again, I highly doubt it comes anywhere near that. People here lose it when Starbucks is closed for a day, it's crazy how helpless some people feel when a single modern luxury gets taken away. I remember one day several years ago there was a bad storm in the twin cities, power was out for like a day or two and people lined up for blocks to go to McDonald's for every meal. Like really? Power is out and you can't make a meal at home, do cereal boxes require electricity now? Humans can become pretty short sighted and just plain dumb when they're panicking or uncomfortable. Hopefully doesn't come to people looting/etc any time soon.

I was hoping people would show a little "smarts" when it comes to this virus thing, but unfortunately the fear/panic buying proved me wrong. Oh, well, at least Trump followers should quit hoarding. Trump told them not to. Whistling

Our main grocery was a little picked over, this morning, some gaps where you expect them, zero milk eggs butter but I assume just need the truck to come by because animals still make that stuff. State today closing restaurants, bars, gyms.
Plant it and they will come.

I buy vegetables that can be stored well like butternut squash, spaghetti squash, potato, cabbage, I've already have carrots. For lettuce and crunch, I bought escarole, frisée versus romaine lettuce that I normally buy for my husband.

Me too, it's ok to hate it. I've had to put on anti road rage music to calm me and my husband down.

Found out the Extension has put a moratorium on MG groups participation of more than 25 people. I'm waiting to see if we can reschedule the plant sale or whether it will have to be cancelled.
The stores are stocked back up again. Only 4 more cases here. We are doing ok so far. I'm praying for folks in Washington State, New York State and California.
What scares me is the fear of the unknown. Just too much stuff we can't be sure of. Sad

The Unknown is here every day. Could it be those lines of folks are control freaks that are addicted to their Starbucks? We have only done regular shopping; having all electric homes does cause a nuisance in food preparation, but we have an outdoor grill after all, and keep 1 Xtra propane on hand. I can cook over a campsite, but I am retired and have the time. My kids don't care for breakfast, the temps are getting hotter and appetites are diminishing here. Our water is good from tap, but we have a water cooler with (3) 5 gal jugs that can be refilled with filtered water for $1.25, all the time. Flood precautions. I love my garden.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

I have a propane camp stove, and I can also cook over a camp fire. I can catch fish and hunt for meat if I have to. We all know how to grow veggies, I think. We drink tap water here, it tastes great. No bottled water for me. I never go to Starbucks. If worse comes to worse, I think it will be the older generations that will make out the best.

I have 6 fig trees in my house, I can eat the fruit and use the fig leaves as toilet papers. I also have 3 avocado trees. I don't like avocados, but I'm sure I can use the leaves and avocados as toilet papers too. I think I'm prepared. Green Grin!

I'm laughing at the thought of using an avocado as toilet paper! I prefer leaves, myself. Hilarious!

You might need the avocado as natural moisturizer after using the leaves.

How true! You would have the advantage of going out and picking your own avocados.

Hmm, I wonder if there will be support groups and treatment centers for the toilet paper buyers after the pandemic is over?
