Hi

I've got an amaryllis that is huge. It started by just sprouting 6 leaves, then it sent out 2 flower stems. I swear I can see it growing and its still going. It is currently 2ft 2in and still going. There are flower buds at the top but they are showing no signs of opening. It's been in a pot since the 2nd week of November.
Anything I can do to help the flowers bloom?

That is a tall one and it looks very healthy. The blooms will eventually open. Keep several plant supports on it so the scape doesn't snap. Do you normally keep it on the kitchen table? Occasionally the scapes and leaves will elongate when the light isn't sufficient. If light is an issue, you could try moving it next to a window with an Eastern or Western exposure. As long as it isn't getting a cold draft from the window. Right now, I think it is just a matter of time.

I would try to position it closer to the window. Flower buds like to feel the warmth of the sun. Smiling Fun waiting time! Do update later when it blooms!

It's always on a table in a living room in front of French doors so it gets lots of sun and light.
Still no petals but it has grown another 2 inches!

I know it can seem like forever, but that's a very healthy looking plant and the bud will bloom sooner or later. What variety is it? I struggle with very tall amaryllises. Last year I got a Ruby Star that grew to gargantuan proportions, with flowers that were too small for the plant. I chucked it in the bin. I don't have a lot of space and my house is fairly dim, so I only keep compact varieties now.

As a post script on the tall non blooming bulb. Sometimes, new bulbs don't bloom for unknown reasons. Perhaps it is too young to bloom, or something happened last spring to abort the bud. I have a little sonatini bulb from Hadeco this year, called Juniper. It never broke dormancy. I noticed that Hadeco removed that cultivar from their website. I wonder if the company discovered that something was wrong with that batch of bulbs, and they weren't going to bloom for consumers this winter. The bulb seems to be healthy otherwise, so I planted it outside with the others and will see what happens with it.

@Nordiclaura Welcome!
It looks fine to me -- some varieties are very tall. I have one that the scape gets to about 34 inches before it blooms. Just be patient, it will happen! nodding

You were all correct, it's taken its time but finally it's started to bloom, nice big flowers aswell. I'm looking forward to seeing the flowers fully out in all their glory.
