Lillium, Altari

One of the nicest of the "Orienpet" type lilies! Always a favorite of visitors; and seems to be almost carefree. I've grown it since at least 2008, but I cannot remember where I bought it. I think it was American Meadows since they offered some very nice selections.

Thanks Frenchy. Here are a couple photos. First one is the banner photo. Second one is a close-up.

What a perfect fit into the size requirement of the banner with exact focus and lighting. Your banners are so well done and interesting and identifiable as a signature banner without ever seeing the name. Excellent as always. ⛄️ ⛄️ ⛄️ ⛄️ ⛄️

Spectacular banner & blooms, Leon! Thumbs up

How tall are they? The ads say up to 8 ft (?) when mature. Blinking
Takes a few years to reach that height I would imagine.

We planted several orienpet lilies last month for the first time...

Will also be guarded by many French marigolds. Smiling

Thanks Cal,

I think 8 ft. is an exaggeration. I see one of the commercial sites stating "8-10 Feet"; and I disagree with that. Our own data base lists them at 3-4 feet in height which is realistic. That's about what mine usually reach. I think I might have some other pictures on my portable hard drive; if so I will share them here.

Orienpets are great for the garden. Glad to see you are trying them too. And I see you are guarding them with French marigolds. These seem to act as a natural insect repellent here also. Smiling

To Cal; I looked back over the years and found one photo where a stem of Atari appeared to be about 48-50 inches. This was in 2010. So my guess is that vendors might be "pushing" the heights of 8-10 feet. I seriously doubt their claims. I could be wrong. Whistling
