I like the color combo of A. It would standout in a garden.
C, ahhhhh C. My favorite by far. All the wash and color blending along with really nice form. Pink, blue and purple all in one package. Beautiful beautiful iris.
I really like K too. I agree with Tom that there are several out there along the lines of J, but what makes K different is that it has a lighter red brown band (both in color and size), and that makes the entire iris look lighter. I also like that the plicata dots on the falls are the same purple as the beard and the small signal under the tip of the beard (best seen in the second picture). Interesting to have the red brown in the band but the dots another color.
Beautiful color on E but would like to see the standards more relaxed.

Each one is more beautiful than the next one! I love A, E, G and I which is a color pattern and coloration that I love. I also love that Sibling to C on a precious post which has similar colors to some.
This next group was very special lots of new color combinations and a huge leap forward in form the majority were brand new seedlings so blooming for the 1st time. I just kind of stood there in awe thinking WOW Jackpot ! Will be fun to watch these progress the next few years and see what makes it to intro
Thank You all for commenting on these everybody enjoying reading your thoughts and which ones you guys like he will really have a hard time in the coming years deciding which ones to go with as you can see they keep getting better and better. Hoping we can be the swing vote in the coming years to convince Joe to name a few of these

Brad ~ Thank you for taking the time to share your pictures and ideas about these lovely irises. It is always a treat when you come on the forum in the dead of winter with our irises either buried in snow, or just growing underground waiting to put on a show. There will be a lot more introductions in the future for us all to anticipate.

This is really a special group! Each is purely individual, graceful, aristocratic! Created a color show! The shape is just as perfect! I want them all!
From F my heartbeat quickens :)
C resembles mother of pearl inside sea shells!
I love G
The green stripe up the middle of the standards of J is interesting especially when it appears to have a slight blue tinge on the middle of the falls.
The last group has a lot of beauties but the one that wins the prize for me is A. Love the icy lavender blue with the white, and those fantastic pink and white beards. The form is perfect. All around a stellar iris.

I enjoyed the all, especially the pinks, but like Leslie I am a fan of medians. So I really like Tightrope. I would really like to cross it with my HI Buddy for form as it is a bit plain for modern tastes since it has I. aphilla in its background. Today's iris people need ruffles. We are fighting to keep our garden since John turns 90 this spring & children frown on more hybridizing efforts.

Congratulations for John. If John is able to do the work, or get help, he should continue. It is a lot of work to follow through with all that needs to be done to get even one iris introduced. However, if it is too difficult now, that would be understandable.
