You set a high standard for an iris that you deem a slow increaser. A lot of cultivars
that I grow put out fewer than four increases a year - in fact, I think that applies to most of
them. Hm.

36" 2 branches, 6-7 buds, mid late season to late. Attractive broad blue green foliage. Large flowers measure 7"+ top to bottom. Not a fan of the haft marks, but the one distinguishing feature of this seedling is a strong licorice fragrance. Stronger scent than i've ever smelled in a TB iris. For that reason alone its being considered, the color doesn't particularly send me, but the fragrance does!

I'd like to pay tribute to Barry Blyth in a small way, by using his hybrids to create more beauty for gardeners to enjoy, if i introduce it. Awards, recognition, Symposium lists, be damned! -- i don't care about such things.
In Love Again X Mt Vesuvius
38", 2 wide branches and a spur, 7-11 buds, mid late season, good substance, and weather resistance, light, musky fragrance. Hardy and a rapid increaser. -- Downside -- fades badly1 :(
see below. Prolly doomed as a candidate, but will be kept as a parent
