Can someone give me a link to hybridizing iris please? Like I need a new hobby, lol. I have some nice ones, but last year my crosses seem to abort or not have seeds in them.

None of my seedlings are old enough to bloom and even my mature iris didn't bloom this year as they were transplanted. It's been a very unimpressive year for irises in my garden hopefully next year.....

It will, it will! Thanks Evelyn! I received a box of historics from Dave and I made an order so next year even if the seedlings aren't quite there, there will still be a show. This year was just a bust rose and iris wise. Lol I guess I'm a little homesick for my old garden.

Rebekah ~ Where did you live before? Are these all just planted last year?

I lived in Washington, but I moved in December to Oklahoma. I really do have lots to be grateful for. I was just kind of bummed I saw so few blooms this season and none on my property. I got spoiled not only having my own collection at the old house but also being able to visit a number of the iris vendors in Oregon. As for The seedlings I have now they are all last years crosses. I started them in the winter so they are all under a year though a few are dwarfs so maybe some blooms next year. Also I have few mature irises that decided not to bloom this year. I think they got a bit set back on the way over, I'm sure they will be blooming next season. Sorry I didn't mean to be whiny I'm just being impatient!

Not a problem at all. Iris season is what we all look forward to.
