It's rare to have many blooms still on the bush in mid-November here in New York's Hudson Valley, but a few have persevered through our freezing nights and windy days. Here's a rather pinkish Bouquet Parfait.

Country Dancer doesn't normally have this hand-painted look to it, but the cold temperatures can do all kinds of unusual things to the regular appearance of roses.

Pompom Flower Circus is often deeply recessed like this, even in warm weather.

Wow, they all look so different in the colder weather!
I just got a lovely order in yesterday from Burlington, Bouquet Parfait was one of them. All small band own root so they will take a little time to grow before I get to plant them but I am still waiting for the house sale to go through so I have nothing but time!
I also bought these below, all roses I have been wanting but never had room for, (except I left Polka behind at the other house) :
Buff Beauty
Distant Drums
Jeri Jennings
Penelope
Polka
Sombreuil

I have Pompon too but had it listed as Pompon Veranda.

Well, you're both wrong. It's spelled "pompon." Big Grin

Mike, these are beautiful shots. Country Dancer really does look like some of my favorite McGredy hand-painted floribundas. So pretty!

It's funny because the Country Dancer bloom was nodding toward the ground when I approached it, and I couldn't see the face of the bloom until I lifted it up in my hand, and nearly gasped when I saw the hand-painted streaks. It wasn't at all what I was expecting!

Sue, you'll like Buff Beauty. I've moved it all over my garden and it still blooms. I got Distant Drums this year, too.

My Mom has Buff Beauty and I have always admired it so I know I will like it! Distant Drums reminds me of my best friend I lost to breast cancer a couple of years ago so I had a hard time deciding to buy it, I am still very emotional about it but I just love the dark stems and bronze foliage plus those gorgeous blooms so I decided to just finally get it and enjoy it.

Maybe it's been long enough for the rose to evoke only good memories, Sue. It's such a beautiful rose and I hope it will serve only as a positive reminder of her.

A beautiful rose for a beautiful person, yes! Still makes me weepy but I get that way easily.
