Some of you aren't members of Dave's Garden and some of you are, but you have stopped going to DG, so you don't know that Sue was one of the winners in the "Roses" category (3rd place, but should have been 1st) of this year's photo contest and she was the first-place winner in the "Cacti and Succulents" category.

Sue, please post those photos here so people will know what I'm talking about.

That picture of Remember Me makes me want to become REALLY TINY (like the people on Fantastic Voyage) and wander around among those petals. Can't you just imagine the light and colors? Heavenly. Sue, you are a GREAT photographer. Thank you.

The weather here is so dreary today that I'm trapped inside. Sue, if you have the time, please post some of your other DG contest entries, especially the Icelandic ponies that got an honorable mention in the "Domestic Animals" category.

That's what I want her to do, Gloria, especially now that the weather is keeping us inside. She has added about a million photos of roses to our database in the past month, so browsing those pages should be fun.

Thanks all!!

It is a cold and dreary Zuzu, hubby & I went and did a little shopping, along with our daughter who's down visiting and after a tasty late lunch, now we're curled up trying to get warm (well, Brad & the puppers are snoozing next to me) OK, lets see if I remember what I entered.

I had this Salpiglossis photo taken in Zuzu's garden submitted in the Annuals category and it got 3rd place.

Stunning! Every single one is a work of art. I didn't even vote in the "Trees" category, so I missed seeing those two beauties. They're just gorgeous and make me want to relandscape my whole garden.

The Salpiglossis photo reminds me of how much I love those flowers. I had a standing order for three 6-packs every spring at Harmony, but I think my order left with the old owners when the place changed hands, so you and I will have to start haunting Harmony and King's Nursery in search of Salpiglossis when the season starts, Sue.

I want an entire allee of them, like the one at Sonoma Hort. This is their image, from their Website, by the way, not mine.

My two are just babies, but I can't wait for them to look that gorgeous. Of course, takes some skills to take an awesome picture like that, too. :)

I had forgotten about that allee, mostly because I always see it after it's done blooming. OK, so yes, I want a whole allee too!
