This year you'll see it in bloom, Sue. We can go there every week until we've seen everything bloom. I did that a few years ago and it was amazing. There are gorgeous plants there that you'd never notice because they're just nice unobtrusive foliage most of the time.

Have you submitted photos to photography magazines? If not, you could. House and garden magazines would be lucky to have you as a photographer.

Thanks Andi, I have only submitted photos to DG PlantFiles, HMF and the databases on here, besides the albums I maintain on sites like Picasa, Flickr and SmugMug. I have had a few daylily images published in daylily catalogs and several in The New Color Encyclopedia of Daylilies, https://www.amazon.com/dp/0881928585/ also an image was added by a German author of a species rose book and then I have sold several to a plant tag company that contacts me through the images I have on DG. Haven't pursued anything beyond that. I'd have to learn too much to try to go pro LOL!

I have a Canon Rebel XTi with various lenses but on occasion also use a Canon 7D.

I came inside to defrost after doing a bit in the garden and was looking at the Austin site. They have a photography contest, closed for 2009, but will announce 2010. Prises were gift certificates of $50 and $150. Here is a link.

I doubt you would need much to go pro, just a good PR person.

Have you ever used the photo scan to see where your pictures actually are being used? You might have some surprises. I don't recall the name of the scan, and I don't know how many sites it scanned, but I tried it with a picture I had, and found it used a couple of places.

And my picture was not nearly of your level.

But anyway, your pictures are gorgeous, and awards well deserved.

I have never done that but I have over 6,700 pictures just in PlantFiles, where would I start? I do check eBay on occasion and have found them there and always contact the poster to remove them and report them if they don't.

It really wasn't hard for me, as I don't have that many pictures someone else would want, LOL.

The program is called Tin Eye, in case you want to play with it. I think there are other similar ones.
