All About ATP: Blogs

By Trish

A "blog" is a web log, or diary. You may create your very own here on ATP and use it for whatever purpose you'd like: keep up with your gardens, trades, or use it as a personal diary.

Trish,

I'm starting my blog tonight and I noticed that there's no preview button. Crying Blinking

I want to preview my blog before submitting it.

Also, what does the 'Tags' section mean?

When you finish your writing and hit 'save', Marilyn, it automatically saves it and you'll see what you've written then, just as you would on a preview page. Then you can edit it, if you need to.

Only after you finish the whole thing and saved it, will you hit the publish button. It won't publish until you click on 'publish', even if it's next week or tomorrow or tonight.

Thought I'd see if this helps, especially since you want to start it tonight.

Sharon was so helpful when I did my blog post -

I'm a terrible student and she explains things perfectly - gee, ya think maybe she's had a few years experience in teaching hard heads like me? Green Grin! Lovey dubby

Tags are for the purpose of searching, and a way to catagorize your blog post. If you are talking about your rose garden, you might tag that post "roses".

The blog system is the same as the advanced ideas system. We use the tags there to help keep the ideas together.

I don't tag mine, so feel free to ignore them if you want Green Grin!

Sorry I answered a question that was directed to you, Trish, but it was the middle of the night and I didn't want Marilyn to get frustrated. I know about middle of the night frustrations when I need the answer to a question.

Thanks, Vic, happy to help.
The teaching thing might have helped with the writing part but all I know about our article and blog writing features, I learned from Dave and Trish. Just passing it on. Smiling
