Name: Toni Denver Metro (Zone 5a) Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
The Denver Metro has been totally butt-kicking freezing for the past few days. We're talking highs in the teens and lows in the negatives with Wind Chill Warnings of -25 through -50 in some areas. Luckily for me, in my little suburb, it hasn't been THAT cold, but it's been cold. We got hit with a powder snowstorm on Thursday that made everything very pretty with the white. But, because it was a powder snow-storm, it was SOOOOOOOOO frickin' cold that no one really wanted to go out & play in it. Including myself. LOL!
Anyways, on Saturday Jan 1, we went to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (www.dmns.org) and, while taking a break on the 2nd floor, took some beautiful pictures overlooking Ferril Lake in City Park. This is downtown Denver on a cold snowy morning.
So much for global warming. :eyesroll:
We had the coldest recorded December here in Michigan in 2010.
We get alot more snow than you do out in Colorado but this year
we're been below normal.
Makes driving much easier with the roads clear most of the time.
Last winter we got slammed with alot of snow.
Maybe we'll get a break this year.
