Where did you buy the lovely old garden roses? Is La France blooming now?

La France usually for me blooms nicely in the Spring and on occaision through the year. But I made a mistake and moved it to a shadier location because of the heat and drought we have been having and it is starting to suffer. It's on my to do list to move it again if I can find a spot for it where the ground is good and the sun a little stronger.

I guess I really didn't answer your question, but I got it from Antique Rose Emporium, Brennan Tx through mail order. They have a website of many old garden roses. Just "Google" the name.

I'm a great fan of ARE. Not sure La France is still in their catalogue but Madame Plantier, Katy Rd Pink, and Silver Moon are.

Why not Steve? I have ordered over 10 plants from them and they were always top grade and arrived in good condition. A little pricey but good. Just curious.
