Thread OP

Hello! New to this forum!
I propogated three trimmings from a Pothos into water back in February and have left it in water ever since. It was doing really well initially - with so many roots growing.
Over the past month or so though the leaves have gone droopy and now I've noticed it's starting to go yellow.
Should I be changing the water?
The roots don't seem to be rotting!
It seems like new leaves start to come through but can't grow!

I'm pretty new to this myself, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm pretty sure that when starting roots in water you should change it out every 2 or 3 days. That's what I have been doing and I haven't had any problems. I also use distilled water from the store. Theres chlorine and all kinds of other stuff in regular tap water that the plants dont like. I hope this helps, good luck!!

Well, I guess I am asking the obvious question, which is...why haven't you plant it yet? You got the roots you were after, why leave it in water all?

I'd seen people keep them in water for good... was this a bad idea? I've now read that it would be too late to plant now that its been in water for so long Sad

Dear Maddie,
I'm not an expert, but it's not too late to plant. I've had some on water for years. The glass bowl broke. Then I decide to change and put on a vase. It's still alive. Best regards.
