The leaves on my BME are also much more rounded but this is such a sporting family, it could be one bunch that got more pointed. I think I've seen others post such pictures with the pointier leaves. These are my two divisions of BME. One is in the ground and the other in a trough with the rest of my "mice".

I have seen ones with pointed leaves but this one has been a very fast spreader whichI did not think BME was supposed to be.

After looking at your pic of silver threads and golden needles I thought my plant looked somewhat similar to it but without the misting in the middle, any thoughts on what it is?Had 2 in the shade and just moved this one into a more sunny location to see if it affects the color.

Much smaller then both of those .they are about 3 years old and are 3 to tops 4 inches tall and at most 10 inches wide. I will take a picture of the second slightly larger one to see if that helps.

Bob, That looks like something from the "Tiara" family. Maybe!

Look up the family tree of 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles'. myhostas.be is a good place to look. Can't do it now as I've got an appointment in an hour and need to get lunch.

'Rainbow's End' is a delightful little host and tough as nails, but not a mini. This one is mature.

Bob, there's a family of sports related to 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles'. See image from myhostas.be

You might try comparing some of the listed hostas with what you have.

@Strever

Your NOID could be Aristocrat. I'm not great at guessing Hostas names, but this one looked familiar to me.

I just picked up a nice sized Rainbow's End. My third try for this one.

It still looks closest to ST&GN that I know I did buy. From what I read it say they can look very different from plant to plant and needs lots of sun to show any white. So I will move one into more sun and see what happens or it will just remain a mystery either way I like it. And thank you for the info.

This was a nice little show. @ViolaAnn, thank you for the information on which hostas make good borders. I lost all my European Ginger edging to something and wanted to possibly replace it with a hosta edge that I've seen at other gardens so thanks for that great information.
This is a small hosta that I saw at the rock garden at NYBG back in 2018. At first I thought they were a silene but no, it looks like a hosta to me. Do you recognize it? In any case, they are cute and small.

Might be hosta cameo

Mini Skirt has a similar look and I think is supposed to be easier to grow.

Thanks Bob. Could be Cameo. It looks like there's some examples that look similar. I'm not sold that it is cameo but it is a nice similar type.

My first thought was something in the 'Baby Bunting' family (which includes 'Cameo'), but that one has a great deal more white than my 'Cameo' has. 'Mini Skirt' is in the "Mouse Ears" family isn't it? They do grow well, but tend to be unstable.

This is my 'Cameo' which is not as large as that one even though I've had it for a long time.

Thank you, Ann. That is a cute one. These were very small too, the leaves were shaped more like a candle flame and the pattern is more linear and streaked. Plus there is an awful lot of white but that could vary. There were three and I took pictures of two. I will have to go back and visit them and see how they held up. There are so many hostas, I really didn't expect anyone to know but maybe someone had it in their collection. In any case, there are always too many beautiful choices for hostas.

So one more NOID. This one is mine and I have it for 19 years. I lost it in my yard until a couple of weeks ago for like 10 years or so if you can believe it. It may seem very plain (and probably one reason I overlooked it besides being under another plant) but it has very dark, shiny leaves so the contrast is good. I did try to find another dark green like it and came close if you look at the leaf I laid on top of it in the second shot. Considering how old it is, it didn't grow to much.
