Neither name is in the ADS registry. It must be a trade name.

Edit. Jeykll Island seems to be Dutch origin and is sold by Brecks among others. You can find it on an internet search.

Paul, I also bought the Hemerocallis Island Jekyll Daylily at Lowes in 2020. It has grown wonderfully and has been blooming since early July, beautiful peach color blooms. Today while picking Japanese beetles off of my Virginia creaper I found two (2) beetles brownish in color burrowing headfirst into one of the blooms, one in the A.M. and one in the P.M., the same bloom. Have you had anything like this? I picked them off and dropped them into the soapy water with the hated Japanese beetles. I will try and get photos.

It does appear to be a trade name according to this page:

I have three other Island series Daylilies. I like them a lot! They are Dutch, by Hans Halsema

Hans doesn't seem to register his daylilies. Another Dutch hybridizer is Heemskerk, who does register his, under a slightly different name than the one they sell it under. I was just doing a search under Heemskerk's name thinking it might be him before Zoia posted. But I guess it's not him, and Halsema doesn't do that. Sad

Don't know anything about the daylilies, but those islands are all in our area, off the Georgia coast.

Thanks, I was wondering where those Island names were from! They are obviously not Dutch… Smiling

Zoia has been posting pictures of her 2023 blooms and I fell in love with her pictures of St. Simons Island.

Here are all of the Island Series currently listed at the Halsema nursery:
